My new parents m&m picked me up from the shelter [Pets Unlimited] at 11:00 AM on May 11, 2007. We went for a short walk and then they sat with my guardian for sooo long I was given a time out because I kept on chewing on cables. I wasn’t really sure what was going on but it was pretty exciting! We finally took off and went for a walk. I sniffed on every leaf I could see ... there were so many.
We kept on walking until I couldn’t recognize where I was. After a while we stopped by a pet store with lots of other dogs getting showers [Wags Pet Wash]. I’m so glad I didn’t need a shower because they were big and unfriendly dogs. We stopped by a place where m&m sat down and stuffed things into their mouths. I got to sit nicely at the table and watch all the people walk by. After that it was off to second pet store [BowWowMeow] across the street. They had big barrels of treats and I couldn’t help myself. I snatched a few out of the barrel when no one watched. We went for another long walk to my new home.
I got a bed, toys and my water bowl wasn’t too hard to find. Mark let me watch him work in his office and we said hi to Mark’s mom Hayedeh over the internet before I took a little nap. A bit later in the day we went for a ride in the car to pick up my new home. I really didn’t like the car ride. I got carsick and m&m had to clean up after me:(
I had a full day and collapsed as soon as we got back to the house after my dinner. Went for another walk before it was time for bed. I didn’t sleep that well my first night [Crate Training] and I stayed in m&m’s room.
